ACS is looking for part-time and full-time registered psychologists and registered provisional psychologists to add to our team. Therapists
will engage in counselling and assessment services for clients. All services and communication will be handled through email,
videoconferencing, phone and text. If you are experienced with a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic
approaches, and use flexible strategies for working with individuals, couples, and families, we would love to meet you.
Therapists will keep client records in accordance with College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) guidelines. ACS will provide practice
management software for additional client file management, to be used at the therapist’s discretion.
Therapists must be available to carry a minimum client load of 5 hours per week, including at least one evening per week. We welcome
therapists who will carry a full client load.
Counselling:
Successful candidates will have training and experience in providing individual, couples, and family therapy in one or more of the following
areas:
- Conflict Resolution
- Marriage and Interpersonal/Relationship Issues
- Partner, Family, and Workplace Abuse or Violence
Training and experience in one or more of the following areas are an asset:
Training in one or more of these therapeutic approaches (or a complementary treatment area) would be beneficial:
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Play Therapy
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Assessment:
Successful candidates will have training and experience in delivering assessments and diagnoses in one or more of
the following areas:
- Behavioural
- Cognitive
- Psychoeducational
- Functional Capacity and Disability
- Gender Transition Readiness
- Vocational/Career
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology.
- Registration as a Provisional or Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- New grads are welcome.
- Two or more years of direct experience or equivalent combination of specialised training and experience is an asset.

Demonstrated strong clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment with an ability to utilise flexible strategies for engaging
and working with individuals, couples, and families.
- Knowledge and experience in working with couples is an asset.
SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client-centred service and care.
- Ability to assess and treat a generalist caseload in addition to one’s areas of specialisation.
- Ability to create and maintain client files and competency in computer file management.

Familiarity with a range of evidence-based treatment modalities and approaches. Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management
skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as to contribute actively to team or treatment plan objectives.
- Superior communication skills (oral and written).
- Comfort with videoconferencing software and Google Workspace.
COMPENSATION
This is an hourly contract position. ACS offers a competitive tiered rate based on active clinic hours.
